Now in its fifth year, the EIMG Vintage Car Fiesta 2025 was presented by Club De Golf and organised by Eastern India Motoring Group (EIMG) – a community of serious heritage vehicle collectors from all across Eastern India.
The line up for the EIMG Vintage Car Fiesta 2025 included as many as 35 rare heritage four wheelers which were selectively handpicked by EIMG Founder & President Shrivardhan Kanoria, himself a restorer and collector of national repute.
The most notable among the heritage cars on display included 1936 Bentley 3.5 & 1938 Rolls-Royce 25/30 owned by Shrivardhan Kanoria, 1938 Rolls-Royce 25/30 owned by Avik Naha, Swapan Kumar Lahiri’s 1948 Plymouth Special Deluxe, 1930 Ford Model A & 1950 Triumph Mayflower owned by Partha Banik, Sumit Periwal’s 1953 Land Rover Series 1, and 1932 Austin 10 owned by C.P. Verma.
Also seen on display were Gadai Chandra Dey’s 1938 Adler Trumph, 1961 Ambassador M1 owned by Baladev Majumdar, 1963 Standard Herald owned by Shubhajit Kumar, 1990 Contessa Classic owned by Anuja Kumar, Ranajit Gooptu’s 1951 Hillman Minx & 1952 Austin Somerset, 1926 Studebaker Erskine owned by Kunal Banerjee and Amrit Roy’s 1964 Ford Anglia.
The Club De Golf is located inside the picturesque New Town Golf Club, where the heritage vehicles were displayed for a vintage rendezvous with their Club members and visitors.
A thanks giving ceremony followed where each of the owners were felicitated with a beautiful memento for upholding the legacy of heritage motoring. Present on this special occasion was Ms. Akansha Pandey, Owner – Club De Golf and Mr. Shrivardhan Kanoria, Founder & President – EIMG along with other respected dignitaries and patrons.
This was followed by a fascinating auto quiz and trivia session which made all the EIMGians put on their thinking cap. It was brilliantly organized by quiz master Somen Sengupta and trivia narrator Sanjib Sarkar. This proved to be a great learning experience for everyone present as many unknown trivia and facts about cars and Kolkata were revealed.
The icing on the cake was the sumptuous cocktail brunch hosted by Club De Golf for all the members of EIMG.

The Dalhousie Institute (DI) and Eastern India Motoring Group (EIMG) in association with Concourz Restorations joined hands to organise the third edition of THE DI EIMG HERITAGE VEHICLE DISPLAY on Sunday, March 9, 2025.
The event was held at the lawn and the courtyard of The Dalhousie Institute where a bevy of 75 heritage vehicles including four and two wheelers were displayed.
The member of DI along with their guests were in for a visual treat as some rare and exotic heritage wheels made the onlookers drool in admiration and envy.
Established in 2020, EIMG has since been anchoring the revival of the heritage motoring movement in Kolkata. Under the leadership of Founder & President Mr. Shrivardhan Kanoria (himself a collector & restorer of national repute) and his team, EIMG has been instrumental in organising some of the most widely appreciated and admired heritage motoring events in the city.
These stellar events has provided the much needed impetus to heritage vehicle owners and restorers to pursue their passion with added zest to ensure that these beauties turn up at each event looking their best.
Founded in 1859, The Dalhousie Institute is a venerable social club with a rich legacy and heritage of its own. It was just a matter of time that these two organization – DI and EIMG – came together to create an evening of automobile magic.
This collaboration was made possible with the effort of Mr. Shubhajit Kumar, EIMG Secretary and a collector himself – who acted as the bridge between DI and EIMG.
Kanoria had handpicked 75 heritage vehicles which was part of this grand display. The vehicles were segmented into four different categories namely Vintage Cars, Classic Cars, Indian Heritage Cars and Two Wheelers.
All the vehicles selected for this event were spectacular in their own right with significant historical importance.
Eight vintage Rolls-Royces including a rare Bentley graced the display, which included three Rolls-Royces from the Shrivardhan Kanoria Collection itself.
Other notable cars on display included an ultra rare 1934 SS1 Sports, 1948 Plymouth Special Deluxe, 1931 Chevrolet Big 6, 1937 Opel Cabrio, 1947 MG TC, 1950 Austin 8, 1958 Mercedes Ponton, and 1965 Hillman Imp.
The Thanksgiving Ceremony was conducted by EIMG President Mr. Shrivardhan Kanoria wherein the beautiful mementos sponsored by Concourz Restorations were presented to the heritage vehicle owners and other important stakeholders.
In his thanksgiving address Mr. Kanoria said, “I would like to express my gratitude to the committee members of The Dalhousie Institute for their support and cooperation for making this event possible. Special mention to the Club President and Club Secretary. Heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Shubhajit Kumar for being instrumental for this collaboration between DI and EIMG. Lastly thank you to Telegraph T2 and Exide for supporting this event.”

Time stood still as The Lake Club – EIMG Concours d’Elegance 2025 cast a magic spell on the City of Joy with nearly 90 scintillating exotic and rare vehicles which took part in this annual heritage show. Now in this fourth edition, the event was organised by Eastern India Motoring Group (EIMG) in collaboration with The Lake Club and in association with ACE Commercial.
With the majestic Rabindra Sarobar in the backdrop and clear blue sky above, the sprawling green lawn of The Lake Club made for the perfect setting for a memorable rendezvous with motoring heritage. The icing on the cake was the line-up of eight beautiful and rare Rolls-Royces which adorned the club lawns like spectacular jewels. Keeping them company was a century-old 1925 AC Royal owned by Yogesh Agarwalla; a very popular Kolkata car which has been participating in rallies since 1968 and won the Oldest Car Award at this year’s EIMG Concours.
A 1938 Rolls-Royce 25/30 owned by Tamalika Naha made its second consecutive appearance at the EIMG Concours d’Elegance. This stunningly beautiful car won The Best of Show at last year’s Concours. This year, Naha’s 1948 Buick Super 8 which once belonged to the Jhargram Rajbari bagged the Best-In-Class Award for Cars Built from 1941 to 1950.
A rare 1948 Bentley Mark VI owned by Azam Monem made its Concours debut this year. A marvelous car which deservedly took home the Epitome of Elegance Award at this year’s EIMG Concours.
Saurjya Pratim Mitra’s brilliantly restored 1937 Ford 7W10 returned to the EIMG Concours this year inviting both admiration and envy in equal measure. The Ford befitting bagged the Best-In-Class Award for Vintage Two Door Cars.
A 1963 Triumph Spitfire which was once owned by Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff has always been a very popular car in the Kolkata circuit, much like its debonair owner Saikat Dutta. This car is a hot favourite among the young brigade, especially the ladies, and was awarded the Best-In-Class in the Classic Two Door Cars category.
The 1928 Ford Model A owned by Surendra Kumar Dugar took home the trophy for the Best-In-Class for Cars Built Upto 1930; Harjit Singh Dhanjal’s 1947 Ariel Red Hunter won the Best-In-Class in the Two Wheelers category; and the 1961 Ambassador Mark I owned by Baladev Mazumdar was awarded the Best-In-Class in the Indian Heritage Cars category.
An immaculately restored 1958 Mercedes-Benz 180 A owned by Prithvi Nath Tagore bagged the Best-In-Class award for Cars Built from 1951 to 1975 and was also bestowed with The Momen Sahab Memorial Trophy for Third of Show at the Lake Club – EIMG Concours d’Elegance 2025.
A very elegant 1937 Rolls Royce 25/30 owned by the Karnani Family was not only awarded the Best-In-Class for Cars Built From 1931 To 1940 but was also presented with The Sanjay Ghosh Memorial Trophy for the Second of Show at this year’s EIMG Concours.
A very special 1948 Plymouth Special Deluxe once driven by legendary singer & composer Hemanta Mukhopadhyay and now owned by Swapan Kumar Lahiri was another beautiful car competing in the EIMG Concours this year. The Lahiri family bought this car in the early 1970s and thoroughly restored it. Fondly referred to as ‘Nilu’, this car is meticulously maintained by its owner himself. This beauty won big at The Lake Club – EIMG Concours d’Elegance 2025 by not just bagging the Special Car Award but also taking home The Shashi Kanoria Memorial Trophy for the Best of Show.
The 1923 Panther Sloper owned by Afzal Hossain was awarded the Oldest Two Wheeler Award; Raja Mookerjee’s 1947 Buick Super 8 bagged the Preservation Award; the Restoration Award was presented to the 1951 Austin A70 owned by Subhodeep Ghosh; the 1937 Opel Cabrio owned by Debaprem Chatterjee won the Resurrection Award; Siddharth Swarup’s took home the Admirable Award for his 1947 Wolseley 14; the Judges Choice Award was presented to 1934 Rolls-Royce owned by Krish Ajmera; and Partha Banik’s 1934 Ford Model A was bestowed with the Touring Delight Award at The Lake Club – EIMG Concours d’Elegance 2025.
This year’s Sporty Playboy Award was bagged by the 1947 MG TC owned by Himanshu Ajmera and Rupak Ghosh’s 1948 MG TC claimed the Hot Ride Award at The Lake Club EIMG Concours d’Elegance 2025.
Other praiseworthy heritage vehicles which competed at this year’s EIMG Concours included the 1940 Triumph owned by Terrence Lobo, M. A. Moin’s 1936 James, 1953 BSA A7 Star Twin owned by Chandan Basu Mallik, the 1959 Ford Zephyr owned by Sarojesh Mukerjee, the 1965 Hilman Imp owned by Sarmistha Hazra, Amritendu Roy’s 1964 Ford Anglia, the 1964 Standard Herald owned by Subhajit Kumar, Saikat Dutta’s 1947 Chevrolet Fleetmaster, the 1937 Austin Big Seven owned by Deb Kumar Pal, the 1926 Studebaker Erskine owned by Kunal Banerji, Sarojesh Mukerjee’s 1947 Rover P2, the 1935 Ford Model C owned by Ranajit Gooptu and Debaprem Chatterjee’s 1951 Austin A40.
Few immaculately restored Rolls-Royces along with an ultra-rare 1934 SS1 Tourer belonging to the Shrivardhan Kanoria Collection were also displayed at the EIMG Concours. While these beauties were not entered in the competition, however, they undoubtedly added a touch of elegance and aristocracy to the event.
The Lake Club has been successfully hosting the Concours d’Elegance in collaboration with EIMG for their respective members and guests. This event witnessed a huge turnout of exotic heritage cars, as well as a humungous footfall of both members and outsiders, making it the Best Vintage Motoring Event of Kolkata.

The Town Hall of Calcutta threw opened its doors to the public on March 22, 1814. Since that day, the Roman Doric style two-storied building, which stands in a rectangular block with two porticos, supported by rows of pillars has remained witness to many important gatherings of historic importance. Fast forward 210 years to a wintry Sunday morning of December 1 and this grand edifice stood testament to yet a marquee heritage vehicle event – the flag off of the EIMG Vintage Fiesta 2024 – presented by Club De Golf.
Now in its fourth year, the EIMG Vintage Fiesta 2024 was organised by Eastern India Motoring Group (EIMG) – a community of serious heritage vehicle collectors from all across Eastern India – the line up for the EIMG Vintage Fiesta 2024 included as many as 60 rare heritage two and four wheelers which were selectively handpicked by EIMG Founder & President Shrivardhan Kanoria, himself a restorer and collector of national repute.
By 8.30 AM, the vehicles started to arrive and aided by the team of EIMG marshals led by Ms. Siddique Cowper, these vehicles were parked in a predetermined sequence in front of the majestic Town Hall. What a sight it was to behold with these horseless carriage basking in the winter sun.
Once the lining up of these heritage vehicles concluded, it was time for EIMGians to share some camaraderie, exchanging notes and valuable information about these ageless beauties, over a hot cuppa and some delicious packed breakfast arranged by fellow EIMGian Ajay Kejriwal.
There were several noteworthy heritage vehicles which participated in this vintage gala. Few worth mentioning were Shrivardhan Kanoria’s 1938 Rolls-Royce 25/30 Limousine and a 1948 Bentley Mark 6 owned by Azam Monem, both stunning cars making their Kolkata debut; a beautifully restored 1938 Rolls-Royce 25/30 Saloon owned by Tamalika Naha, Ananda Choudhury’s 1913 Stoewer (the oldest participating car and a huge crowd puller), SK Lahiri’s 1948 Plymouth Special Deluxe (formerly owned by legendary signer Hemanta Mukhopadhyay and fondly referred to as Nilu by its present owner), a very popular 1947 Chevrolet Fleetmaster owned by Saikat Dutta, Shubhajit Kumar’s 1963 Standard Herald, a 1956 Land Rover owned by Sumit Periwal, Kunal Banerji’s 1926 Studebaker Erskine, Debaprem Chatterji’s 1950 Austin A40, and a 1940 Triumph owned by Terrance Lobo. But the one that really stood out among the galaxy of heritage stars was Kanoria’s ultra rare 1934 SS1 Tourer. A real headturner!
Post a quick briefing session by the EIMG President and the group photograph, it was time for these heritage motors to be flagged off from Town Hall for the final destination – Club De Golf in the New Town. Imagine a convoy of 60 heritage vehicle driving down the majestic Red Road flanked by the Maidan on one side. It was a sight for the City of Joy to watch as these beauties elegantly rolled together towards New Town.
It is worth mentioning that on this day alone, each of these heritage vehicles clocked around 60-70 kilometres on their odometers (garage to garage) which is an incredibly great deal for these vehicles and a testimony for the superlative effort put in by the owners who have kept the fire burning in their hearts.
