BMW India has launched the much-awaited new BMW 7 Series range in the country. With this, the BMW flagship sedan will be available in petrol and all-electric powertrains. The all-electric performance model, the BMW i7 M70 will also be available for customers in India, making it the most powerful BMW 7 Series of all time.
The new 7 was unveiled by superstar Ranveer Singh. The exclusive launch, crafted as a tribute to dedication, brought together two big icons – one at the pinnacle of modern luxury and the other at the pinnacle of cinematic excellence. On this occasion, Ranveer Singh was introduced as the Brand Voice for BMW India – a collaboration that brings a powerful, contemporary resonance to the commanding authority of the 7.

BMW India has launched the first-ever BMW i5 Long Wheelbase (LWB) in the country with ex-showroom prices starting at INR 79,60,000. The first-ever i5 Long Wheelbase will be locally produced at BMW Group Plant Chennai and the deliveries will begin immediately.

BMW eDrive technology in the BMW i5 eDrive35L features a highly integrated drive unit within a single housing that is powered by an electric motor, single-speed transmission and power electronics. The high-voltage battery combines compact dimensions with high energy density and it provides a gross energy content of 81.6 kWh. The BMW i5 eDrive35L has an exceptional range of up to 669 kilometres determined in the MIDC test cycle. The car comes with a complimentary BMW Wallbox charger with installation. It can be integrated at home to enable safe and convenient charging up to 11kW. The vehicle also supports up to 160 kW DC fast charging, enabling a 10% to 80% charge in just 33 minutes.
Designed to conquer Indian road conditions, the first-ever BMW i5 LWB features an Adaptive rear-axle air suspension and enhanced ground clearance that guarantees superior ride comfort, composure, and signature BMW driving pleasure across all terrains. Charging time is – 130 kW DC Charger – 10 to 80% in 29 min (100 km top up range in 8 min) and 22kW AC – 0 to 100% in 3 hrs 45 min. (*WLTP = Worldwide harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure). JCW Sport Brakes impress with direct response and a better pedal feel.
Advanced assistance systems such as Cruise Control and Parking Assistant Plus with 360 degree Camera increase comfort, control and safety and relieve the driver from monotonous and less demanding aspects of driving. With Comfort Access, the car is locked / unlocked automatically as it recognises the key is at a distance of less than 1.5 meters.
The standard MINIMALISM technology includes auto start/stop function, brake energy recuperation, active cooling air ducts and electromechanical power steering.
