Audi today commenced bookings for the new Audi Q5 in India with a booking amount of INR 2 Lakhs.

Tata Motors Launches Punch Sub-Compact SUV

Tata Motors today launched its latest offering Tata Punch sub-compact SUV which is also the recipient of the Global NCAP 5-star rating (16.453) for adult occupant protection and 4-star rating (40.891) for child occupant protection. With several segment-first features being offered, the Tata Punch will be available at a starting price of Rs. 5.49 lakh for the Pure MT trim, and going up to INR 9.09 lakh for the Creative AMT variant (ex-showroom Delhi).

MG Motor India has launched the mid-size SUV MG Astor with India’s first personal AI assistant and first-in-segment Autonomous (Level 2) technology, at a special introductory ex-showroom price of Rs. 9.78 Lakh.

Astor is positioned in the premium mid-size SUV segment. Customers can choose between variants starting from Style, going up to Super, Smart, and the top-of-the-line Sharp.

MG Astor comes with a standard 3-3-3 package which includes warranty of three years/unlimited kilometres, three years of Roadside Assistance and three Labour-Free periodic services. TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Launched

TVS Motor Company has announced the launch of an advanced range of TVS Apache RTR 160 4V series of motorcycles today equipped with a new headlamp assembly and signature Daytime Running Lamp (DRL), and three ride modes. The Company also introduced TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Special Edition, equipped with first-in-segment features including adjustable clutch and brake levers, an exclusive Matte Black colour with red alloy wheels, and a new seat pattern besides the new headlamp.

The top-end variant of the Apache RTR 160 4V will be equipped with TVS SmartXonnectTM. TVS Apache RTR 160 4V series of motorcycles are fitted with a new headlamp assembly where the signature DRL continues to glow, changing its stance to a Front Position Lamp (FPL) which functions with low and high beam simultaneously.

Kia India Elevates Tae-Jin Park As Managing Director And CEO

Kia India (KIN) has announced that Tae-Jin Park, Executive Director and Chief Sales & Business Strategy Officer (CSBO) will assume the role of Managing Director and CEO, Kia India, effective on 4th October 2021. Mr Park has been associated with Kia India since January 2020.

Mr T J Park will succeed Mr Kookhyun Shim, the current MD & CEO of Kia India, who played a crucial role in introducing the Kia brand in India. Under his supervision, Kia India completed its manufacturing unit in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, and started mass production of vehicles in record time. Under his dynamic leadership, Kia successfully chronicled multiple milestones within a short span in the country. Mr Kookhyun Shim will retire from his services and will move back to Korea.

In his new role, Mr Park will be responsible for company’s growth and market expansion in the country. He will lead the India operations and directly oversee the entire manufacturing, product strategy and development, business planning and sales.

Prior to his association with Kia India, he served at the headquarters of Kia Corporation as Head of Operations for the Middle East, Africa and Asia base in Seoul, South Korea. Mr Park has also served as the Chief Sales Officer, Kia Mexico. He has been associated with Kia Corporation since 1987.
